The One That Got Away - Katy Perry

Summer after high school when we first met
We make out in your Mustang to Radio head
And on my 18th birthday we got matching tattoos

Used to steal your parents' liquor and climb to the roof
Talk about our future like we had a clue
Never planned that one day I'd be losing you

In another life I would be your girl
We keep all our promises, be us against the world
In another life I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away

I was dreaming you were my Johnny Cash
Never one without the other, we made a pact
Sometimes when I miss you, I put those records on, whoa

Someone said you had your tattoo removed
Saw you downtown singing the blues
It's time to face the music, I'm no longer your muse

In another life I would be your girl
We keep all our promises, be us against the world
In another life, I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away

The one, the one, the one
The one that got away

All his money can't buy me a time machine, no
Can't replace you with a million rings, no
I should've told you what you meant to me, whoa

'Cause now I pay the price

In another life I would be your girl
We keep all our promises, be us against the world
In another life, I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away

The one, the one, the one, the one

And in another life I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away

It's time to face the music, I'm no longer your muse/ <3

Hey guys! Guess whattttt?

I HAVE GRADUATED!!!

I have completed *counts* 15 freakin years of education. ohmygod?!

I just attended my university convocation 2 days ago. It was a huge mix of emotions. I am so happy I can say I finally made it. It was heartwarming looking at my parents who looked so happy they finally saw their first kid through university. (It wasn't an easy task for them cuz I was a freakin hell rebellious kid last time.) But at the same time I still feel like I'm not ready to 'grow up' and leave school.

School is the place whereby you make mistakes and then you learn from them. But now, in society and in the real world, you make mistakes and you get screwed by them. School is also the place where you find the bestest friends in life. This I'm MOST thankful for :))

It is really fast. Time really flies. I was so looking forward to starting uni, and then now I'm already done with it. These 3 years in NBS are really the best in my life. I loved my experience so much I wouldn't wanna trade anything for it.

Time really flies and with the passing of time, many things change. Certain things I thought was definitely gonna stay certain didn't stay that way 3 years later. There were good times and there were bad ones, but I've learnt that what matters most is always the present. It doesn't matter what the end results turn out to be, as long as you know you made the best out of what you have now.

XOXO
I love you, NBS!

Hi! I'm back from my Taiwan grad trip! Haha actually have been back since 2 weeks ago but whatever.

Taiwan was awesome! The food was fantastic, and the people were generally very niceeee. Shopping in Taipei is one kind of a crazy. I bought like 27 tops, 9 pairs of shorts, 5 pairs of shoes and 4 bags, among (many) other things.

Some selected piccies out of a total of about 400+!

Just reached Taoyuan airport!

Taking the High Speed Rail to Kaohshiung.

With my epic ticket that made us almost miss our train! We bought the tickets separately and I was the last to pay, and I took my change and receipt and left the ticket at the counter! The weird thing was, the woman didn't call me back immediately to take the ticket, I mean, how long does one take to realize there was an unclaimed ticket at your own counter?? Instead she passed the ticket to another counter, called Customer Service or something.

Then we went for lunch, and about 8 mins before boarding, I somehow decided to check where my ticket was. And horror of horrors I CAN'T FIND IT!!! The girls tried to help me find all over but mei you jiu shi mei you. Panicking, (cuz the ticket not cheap lor) we ran back to the counter, who directed us to Customer Service, who wanted to check everyone's tickets first to verify that I really was the owner of that unclaimed ticket.

In all that frenzy and hurry Cho's luggage almost fell on her and we all almost died but anyway that didn't happen, so.

Okay, pic:

Our Kaohshiung hotel. A pretty nice place!

Breakfast was provided everyday! Simple fare cooked by an auntie, but tasted damn heavenly please.

Random pic of this plate of shui jiao that looks ordinary, but was the bestest-tasting shui jiao E.V.E.R. It was in this ye shi in Kaohshiung (I forgot the name!).

The next day we went to Kenting. Alot of people kept saying how marvellous and awesome it was, but to be really honest, I think that place was pretty meh~~

I guess the main attraction was all the nice scenery spots, but seriously, I'm not a scenery kinda person HAHA. The only thing I enjoyed there was the water sports. Damn fun! I screamed until wanna die HAHAHA.

Scenic pics:

This pic I likey!

Kenting has pretty good food though! We had this mini lobsters thingy for lunch, not bad! Considering I could eat it despite my intense hatred for prawns and lobsters.

And there was this bao shop that is apparently quite famous one, with alot of interesting fillings inside their baos. The girls loved it, but I thought ok only leh HAHA.

The next day we went sight-seeing.

First stop: Fo Guang Shan! I'm not a sight-seeing person but I liked that place! It was huge and peaceful, and there was free lunch ROFL.

There were alot of those teachings in Chinese written on boards all over the place. This is my fave!

The free vegetarian lunch that was damn yummy!

My loot at the end of 4 days in Kaohshiung!

We went Taichung next! Our hostel! It was comfy but small.

Random pic of this damn good baked potato with bacon and cheese inside! Omg I'm dying for it nowwwww.

Next day: theme park! Haha we went to this Yamay theme park which consisted of a dry park and a wet park. The dry park rides were pretty meh~~ Only one ride was worth it, this off-track roller coaster that brings you to the edge, stops the train, starts tilting you until you're 90degrees on top then suddenly releases you. Only Pris and I went for it!

The wet park was good though. The slides were crazily high and scary. There was this one slide I took that I thought I was gonna die! It was so high and so fast that I couldn't really feel the slide on my back, all I felt was water! Like aqua-planning liddat LOL.

Us!

After theme park we wanted to visit this Zhonghua ye shi. We stopped at the Taichung main railway station (they don't have the metro there, mad wtf one), and the people there told us walk can reach the ye shi already.

MEGA TALK COCK OK. We walked like one freakin hour?!?! Somemore when we found it, the ye shi was damn wtf one. Totally NOTHING there.

Ok at least dinner there was good la. In Taiwan you randomly find one stall eat also good one!

We walked even further to another shopping district, Yizhong. That day really walk until siao man.

And I did my nails! Damn cheap there manicure S$4??

Then we travelled to Taipei after 3 days in Taichung!

Our first hostel in Taipei.

I said first because we didn't stay there throughout our stay in Taipei.

Because we GOT CHASED OUT!!! Freakin horrible place ok. It's called Everybody's Hostel. DON'T GO THERE!

The owner is a crazy woman. The story began like this:

The hostel has this set of rules whereby from 11pm onwards it was supposed to be 'quiet' time, meaning we have to keep our volume down inside the place after 11pm la. But as your very typical tourists in Taiwan, where do you think we would go at night?

YES, the night markets. Like duh right! Those are the highlights of Taiwan! So everytime we'd return past 12 midnight, and then this very anal neighbour of ours got very pissed. He's this angmoh guy, and he looks younger than us. We guess he's a student there in Taipei. So anyway, he accused our plastic bags of making too much noise -.- Seriously! We already tried to keep our talking volume down, and there he was complaining about our plastic bags. Wasn't our fault that bags made noise and the soundproofing sucked right. He told us rudely(he just opened our door without knocking and YES THE DOORS CANNOT BE LOCKED, SO DON'T GET FOOLED BY UNTRUE PICTURES OF THIS HOSTEL ON THE NET!!) that if we wanted to make noise we should go stay in a hotel. Damn wtf, if HE cannot stand noise then HE should go stay in a hotel!

So anyway he childishly kept our hairdryers and switched off our lights while we were bathing. Because the water sounds kept him awake (wtf right!!). And the next day, he told the owner about the whole story(his side la). And at first we thought we could reason with the owner about the whole matter, but alas, the owner blatantly sided with that guy! It could be because they were both angmohs, and also that maybe the guy as a more permanent resident paid her more, so he was a 'bigger' customer in that sense.

Then the owner came to talk to us. Her argument was pretty weak as she admitted she only heard us making loud noises the first night and subsequently she admitted she didn't hear us anymore, although what went on downstairs(where we stayed) was a different matter altogether. I rebutted how did she know, did she have a recording, and she couldn't answer. Then Jean asked her a very simple question, so does that mean we cannot even shower at night. And again she avoided the question and didn't answer it directly. She was blatantly siding that guy la! We were like, so was it right for him to switch off our lights then, and she kinda insinuated that we deserved it cuz we woke him up anyway. MEGA WTF.

She then said she'd be happy to refund us the remaining amount and then we could leave. I told her we'd leave if she gave us a full refund, because she was obviously chasing us out! She kept saying she wasn't chasing us, but she wasn't giving us any options. Her stand was that either we came back early, or we came back late then don't shower and pack our stuff. That anal guy, on the other hand, didn't have to compromise at all. That was unfair treatment, and she said that we have already signed the contract when we stayed to obey the rules(seriously where got place you pay to stay still must sign contract and obey rules one) so she can actually call the police on us. We told her different people had different threshold for noise and the fact that that guy has a super low threshold isn't our fault.

Then she started getting pissed at me and called me a pain in the ass and 'bullshit'. Damn crazy pissed at her la! I argued back and it got quite bad. She even told my friends it was my fault that the situation became so ugly and we had to move out. Crazy woman.

Somemore, the website for the hostel said that it was air-conditioned. Fang pi lor when we wanted to on the aircon at night she said we couldn't, and when we asked why she said it was too expensive. WTF?!?! Then we pay you for what shit sia!

So because of that we had to move to another hotel to stay for the last 3 nights. Luckily we had a very helpful cab driver who helped us find the hotel and sent us there :))

We also went to complain about that hostel to the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, and they checked that her freakin hostel was freakin illegal?!?! WHAT THE SHIT. And she wanted to call the police on US?! Mega wtf man. -.- So yeah, she has to close down and pay a fine! Orbi good wahahaha.

Ok back to pics!

Random pic on train! With my loot as usual.
