yes!! to Ben&Jerry's Free Cone Day!! hahaha. jacq and i purposely took half day to head to the Ben&Jerry's at grand cathay. the queue was surprisingly much shorter than what i expected. we got 2 cones in less than an hour! after we got our 1st we immediately went to queue for another. and some RI kid behind us was saying "it's quite immoral to queue again." LOLOLOLOL. ooookayyyy...
too bad i'm not really an ice-cream person. the first cone already got me a little full, but for the sake of being a cheapo, i went for the 2nd. couldnt finish, so i gave it to jacq. that clumsy thing dropped her unfinished cone on the floor. LOL. so paiseh for her. no wonder she walked away so fast from the scene of crime. anyway i think if my sis were to go she'd have managed to eat millions of cones, that scary junk-food master that NEVER gets fat. hahaha.
anyway, today's SIN DAY. been a long time since i binged like this! cuz after the cones, jacq suddenly had a craving for sakae sushi buffet. we decided to go to the sakae beside plaza singapura, but they had some event going on near there and sealed up the whole place. we looked like idiots trying to navigate our way around the barriers, so we gave up and walked to heeren. it wasnt until we were there that we remembered that entire level was sealed up for renovation! bahhh. i told jacq it must be a sign, lol.
not giving up, we headed to wheelock. it was soooo damn hot! and really far. but in the end we made it there and stuffed ourselves sooooo fullllll. *shakes head* this is such a SIN.
diet starts tomorrow. !!

having such a bad backache now that i couldnt even wear my own shoes. =( wonder what's wrong with me. old age, maybe.
went to queensway with jacq yesterday to get her sneakers! walked around the maze-like shopping centre, lol. after that we went to town to walk around. basically a walk-around-aimlessly day. but i got flats! and she got another top. =D
went to the ntu hi-tea today! it was pretty informative. they talked about the different majors they offer. i like tourism and hospitality! but they only offer 50 places. marketing sounds pretty fun too. lol. was so lost at first but then i saw stacy who was also feeling quite lost. hahaha. she says it's like a brainwashing session and that she's still waiting for nus and considering smu. i didnt think it was a brainwashing session, cuz im already brainwashed. LOL. heck nus, and i didnt even apply for smu. =D ntu ntu NTU!!!
dont diss my obsession off first. i have my reasons for supporting ntu okay.
let me first compare smu and ntu. but this is just my very PERSONAL opinion okay. everyone's entitled to think differently. if you're a fan of smu, then you can leave my blog right now. okay. firstly, smu just gave me a really bad impression, in terms of who they employ as teaching staff. i still remember that transvestite guy in a tight suit who couldnt talk properly. -.- and this other guy whose face just fell and looked bu shuang and kept saying "are you all sure you all dont want to sit in for the next talk? it's really informative you know..." in a tone that suggests we're idiots for choosing to walk out of the hall after the first talk.(which 90% of the people did.) and the way smu people KEEEEEEEP saying how their small tutorial classes will cater to us much better than ntu/nus. they couldnt stop comparing, seriously. i also dont like how they greatly emphasize on class participation, and even grade you for it. every class will be like a competition to see who talks more. everyone will be fighting to talk and shooting daggers at each other. so very sad.
on the other hand, ntu is much cosier. when someone asked the professor who was talking to us just now to compare ntu with the other universities, he said "i wont say we're better or worse, inferior or superior, it's just that we offer a different value." what a parting shot! and he looks so keen and so glad to be talking to us. he keeps assuring us that everyone will be offered an opportunity at ntu. aint it cool. they even guarantee we'll have a hostel to stay at for the first year. smu doesnt even have hostels. no midnight supper, night cycling, overnight mahjong sessions...
as for nus, it's much better than smu lah. and i'd go there if there wasnt so much competition for the hostels and throughout the school, and if they had the 3-year direct honours thing.
so there. ntu rocks. LOL. =D

reading a new book now! Nineteen Minutes by jodi picoult. it's about this boy peter who went into his school mass shooting people. picoult wrote about everyone's perspective, the victims', the victims' parents, the shooter's, the shooter's parents', the survivors', the survivors' parents', the detective's, the prosecutor's, the defense lawyer's...
at first you'll think peter is evil and you'll hate him for killing everyone, but then the story slowly reveals his childhood and how he suffered teasing since young and how he got ostracized by everyone. then you'll start feeling sorry for him. it's a real complicated story, and picoult's darn good. she ends every sub-part with a metaphor or a one-liner that really strikes you. it's a MUST-READ.
i think adults, especially parents, should really read it. people who think things are always so simple and small when it comes to kids stuff. people who think that kids are so young and innocent they wouldnt be capable of anything THAT evil. people who think that just by complaining to teachers or ignoring the bullies you will stop the whole cycle of viciousness. people who never really listen carefully enough or never try hard enough to understand. it gives a whole new perspective.
i wanna go donate blood!! LOL. but i got no guts no guts no guts. =(

caught definitely, maybe with jenn after work yesterday. it's really nice. hahaha. i thought at first that it's gonna be some typical boring romance movie, but it wasnt! i was touched! so touched i almost cried! =D watch it watch it!!!
haha. jenn told me some more funny stories about her workplace, which happens to be a school. LOL. i think teaching is a real tough job. ohh, and we saw some funny incident at BK too. some guy who got so affected by his friend's joke that he spit out whatever he was drinking and sprayed all over his lucky friends. LOLNESS.

anyway, yesterday i was walking home from piano when i saw this on the floor. it'd just rained, so the whole floor was wet, only this little patch stayed dry, and nope, i didnt edit it or what.
nyp cca open house today. lol. the colleagues went to check it out. we watched the dance performance by their dance group, foreign bodies. jacq wanted to join, but we werent sure if they'd let non-students join. it's quite funny, having to explain to those people thrusting all their flyers at us that we werent students. i think they probably didnt believe. probably thought that we said that to avoid taking their flyers. -.- do we look like such goons? i mean, what a lame excuse to use just because you dont wanna take a flyer. i've been through CCA open houses before, and it totally sucks when those juniors give you all types of stupid excuses to get you off their backs, as if we would be stupid enough to really believe them. i mean, have more standard please. dont wanna take just politely smile and shake your head and say "no thanks", not like we'll shove the paper in your mouth. even walking away ignoring would be better than giving dumb excuses and giggling like it's very very hilarious.
anyway, we did sign up in the end.(after a vvvvvv long debate with nicole and queenie who feared the auditions) hahaha. so cool. think it'll be pretty fun, a diversion from our otherwise v.boring lives.
the office these days is like an intellectual house. all of us are reading some book or other. there are many nice books out there i realize. must quickly finish reading ALLL of them! =DD

fake nails only lasted me a day. well less than that actually. only a night. ONE miserable night, lol. jacq says i surely cant survive with it one. and she's right. hahaha. it's terrible lahh. try it and you'll know the inconvenience. =S
went to watch run papa run with the colleagues last night. the movie was okay i guess. actually, i wasnt really paying attention to the storyline. all i remember from the movie was how omg-gorgeous louis koo looked. *swoons* omg lahhh. LOL. today they were discussing about how they found the movie, and i realized i couldnt come up with much opinion, except how cute/funny/gorgeous louis koo was. MUAHAHA. queenie would agree with meee!! (go away jacq)
everybody's sick in the office these days, how sad.
i'm finishing those books i borrowed from the library already, wayyyy before the due date. this rarely happens to me, cuz i usually dont have so much time to read and will have to return the books before i'm done reading. reading is good! =) haha.

went to the lime flea market today!! nicole and queenie have a stall there so jacq and i went to peng chang. BUT!! we ended up spending so much money there lahhh. the stuff there are soooo cheap!! i spent 53 bucks there leh. got a dress, a top and a necklace!!
i got fake nails today too. only to remember i need to take them out before my next piano lesson. =S
went to walk around with jacq after that. we walked soooo damn much today my legs feel like collapsing. -.- we got hungry and wanted to get something to eat, so we went to cine's pastamania, only to find it full. we proceeded walking and walking and walking to find food but couldnt find any satisfactory places. in the end we got so tired we were dizzy and a little hysterical. LOL. we walked alllll the way to plaza singapura and settled down at pastamania there. LOL. felt so satiated after the meal lahh.
okie, shall go fix my new nails!! =)

went to liquid kitchen yesterday after work. the atmosphere there quite nice, quiet quiet one. a great place for people to just sit around and engage in mindless chatter, lol.
woke up today not feeling too well. got headache and sore throat. =( think im really falling sick, cuz im feeling REALLLY tired now and it's not even 12 yet. sighsss.
i just had a dream anyway. i was near some big sea which was vvvv polluted. then i saw this area with LOTS of dead turtles like the ones i have at home. i was telling someone beside me, dunno who, that it was quite sad, when suddenly there was this vvvv heavy rain and the ENTIRE SMELLY GROSS DISGUSTING SEA WATER PILED WITH DEAD TURTLES came surging towards us. we were all submerged inside lah. and i was forcing myself not to breathe cuz once i open my mouth the horrible smelling water would get inside. the stench was horrendous man. must be a sign. trying to tell me to stop polluting the env maybe... or trying to tell me to treat my turtles better. which do you think it is??? *ponders*
today was my suay day. keep bumping to people i dont wanna see. jacq will know what i'm talking about, that GLOATER who obviously thinks it's funny. -.- -.-
i finished some murder mystery book today! the content is quite grisly. cuz all the murders were committed by "puncturing the eyes" and making "thick gooey eye liquid sreaked with blood" flow out. bian tai author lah. but the gore got me hooked LOL. im such a bian tai too, omg.
damnnnn tired. shall go sleep now. YAWNS.
oh and did i mention, I HATE THE AIR FORCE?? =(

today is maf's official last day in singapore! for 2 months anyway. went to ikea with him in the morning to get some last minute stuff, some cupboard divider of some sort. shrugs.
after that we went to anchorpoint for breakfast and queensway to get his shades. it's a wonder how fast guys shop. he decided which pair to get within, like, 15 mins. if it were me i'd probably take 5 hours. plus, it's something that costs 180 bucks, not 1.80. i'd probably take 10 hours, on second thought, to part with almost 200 bucks. =S

went to j8 to play arcade with nicole queenie angie and vic today! played the bball thing, damn fun lah. we played until damn high can. LOL. the arms very suan lah. we played daytona too!!
anyway nicole totally cracked me up today. cuz me angie and vic were queuing for the dbs atm machine. then nic said she wants to draw money too. so she queued behind me. then queenie was like "you got dbs card meh??" and nicole was like "yea hor!!!" and backed away. damnnnn blur lah. then after we left, i asked her which bank she uses then. and she said "POSB." i was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!. and she said queenie told her you cant use dbs for posb cards. LOLNESS LAHHHH. damn funny those 2.
then while we were eating, i asked nicole some random question and she sorta misinterpreted what i meant. it was an honest mistake, but queenie laughed until she fell out of her chair, like LITERALLY!!! (spilling milk tea on me!!! lol) so funny, now i know how the expression "laugh till you fall out of your chair" came about.
hahahaha. okay, i need my beauty sleep early tonight! =)

hahaha. i just finished my latest project! it's a farewell gift for maf by the way. lol. i didnt know i had the art of gift-giving in my genes. and the end product turned out pretty nice, if i do say so myself. =) it wasnt like a huge nice mapped out present or something, but for me it's already considered quite an effort okay. muaha.
but it's reasonable for such an effort, since he's gonna be away for a whopping 2 months! that's realllllly long. plus brunei, where he's going, sounds damn boring. i cant imagine how i'd survive at a place with no fun, no friends and limited internet access. that's how it is with army i guess.
i've been having really weird dreams these past nights. they all have this general storyline of me trying to run away from people who're trying to kill me. it's eerie and scary and thrilling. i wonder if it's a sign. hmm.

been having red, swollen, runny eyes these few days. dont know why. =( my eyes'll feel as if there's something inside them when there actually isnt. if i ignore it, it'll start tearing on its own. if i rub it, it'll turn red and swell AND still tear. bleargh. drinking liang cha now, hope it helps.
went towning with mom yesterday, hahaha. bought a new top and 2 new pairs of shoes! yayness.
today i rotted at home. woke up at 12. had brunch. then slacked around at home before heading to the library. i'd finished reading everything angie's got, lol. so must find some new books to kill time. i know it aint easy to find really good books, so i tried really hard. in the end i borrowed three. just started a little on the first, but i'm already kinda disappointed. =( so much for making the whole plot sound so enticing, when the writer cant write at all. borringgggggg.
went to the gym afterwards. one of the track machines spoilt!! and you know how that machine is the most highly sought after equipment. so i had to wait to use it. meanwhile i played with the climbing machine(dont know what it's called lah). and poooft, awhile later i'd already done 1002 strides. afterwards i still ran 3km. muahaha.
facebook is giving me some ultra sh*tty problems. i know my laptop isnt the most advanced computer in the world, and usually it takes really long to load some stuffs, but now it doesnt even allow me to access the homepage. rahhness. *slams laptop against wall repeatedly*
okay cool down.
anyway i found this new game called cooking academy, and it works like angie's nintendo ds game. like you know, fry, knead, boil, cut stuff. muaha. ultra fun lahh. go try it! =)

MY SISTER'S KEEPER is probably one of the best reads i've had in recent years. in fact, one of the best books i ever read. besides harry potter and this book called The Desert Flower. it really hooks you. sorry for taking such a long time to read pals, hahaha. but i keep re-reading parts because i just love the way picoult writes.
you know i do appreciate honesty, but there are some things i'd rather not hear.
i never knew that one person could mean this much, that one word could mean this much. that one word from one person could trigger tears, could make or break me.
and anyway, HAPPY APRIL'S FOOLS DAYYYYY!!!!!!! jenny and i decided to play a prank. HAHAHAHA. it was good entertainment and break from my boring work stuff. hohoho. but to all people i pranked: I DIDNT MEAN TO BE MEAN OKAY. THOSE WERE JUST JOKES.
