work has been pretty fun and slack these days. there were so many pics of us slacking, but most of it are pretty unglam. LOL. thus after much consideration, i decided not to post them up.

went to sim lim square today with the colleagues. jacq was planning to get a camera. but we ended up getting cheated!! damn that stupid place!!

there was this uncle who told us that we could get a SONY T-70 for 321 bucks.(other shops sell it between 450-460 bucks) but after that he kept trying to convince us that sony wasnt a good cam. he kept trying to promote some other olympus cam to us. but jacq was pretty adamant that she wanted the sony one, so the uncle had no choice but to say he'll sell it to us then.

however, he said there was no stock in the shop itself and asked us to return an hour later so that he could get it for us from the store. what a lame thing to say, but we actually believed it(okay i dont know about the others but i initially didnt even start to get suspicious about the entire episode)and walked out planning to return later. (i mean, wasnt it suspicious enough that he didnt want our contacts and just let us leave like that? what if we walked off and didnt go back for the cam? but no, i didnt think of that then. how dumb.)

we walked to another shop, however, and told the salesman there that the previous shop could sell T-70 to us at 321 bucks. but that salesman told us it was all some ploy to con us to get the lousy olympus cam, and now that we decide we dont want the olympus one, they will come up with some lousy excuse that they dont have that cam we want, because they simply wouldnt sell it to us at 321 bucks! what the!!! and they initially lied to us saying they could sell it at 321 bucks because they wanted to capture our attention and make us stay to listen to their crap about the olympus cam.

true enough, we returned to that shop and found it closing. another salesman in that shop told us "oh sorry we're closing... come back another day." they obviously didnt wanna sell it to us lah. what get from store... all the sh*t crap, all lies. nicole went on confronting the uncle, but he just said they're closing and there's nothing they could do.

MANNNN!!! what an eye-opener. although it feels infuriating getting cheated, i thought it really was a good eye-opener. now we know, such things exist in singapore, and so blatantly too! what did we look like, idiots? -.-

i think i'll pull my dad along to get my camera when it's time for me to get one.
