but actually i dont think it's gonna make much difference in my life, since i practically grew up without tv.
yesterday. went to smu's open house. totally didnt like it once i stepped in. the whole place just seemed so.... OVER-STRUCTURED. they didnt exactly involve everyone like the way ntu did, you know, like allowing their students to set up cca booths like in a carnival, or hiring deejays to host and play games interacting with everyone.. or like hosting a campus tour around the school. only the admissions building was open, and the whole open house only consisted of boring talks by professors/lecturers that sound/look either like they ate too much KFC or like they are actually transvestites from thailand. propaganda was heavy too. -.- it's as if you're going to attend seminars everyday instead of going to school.
where are the hall lives, the inter-house games, the cheers and roars, the team/school spirit?? i cant live without all these, cuz i think they're really important aspects of being a student. and if i'm gonna be stuck in smu for four years........
thus we left smu early. (we= me jacq jenn) went to have lunch, then walked around raffles place then marina square. the day ended pretty early with them.
travelled all the way to west mall to meet maf for dinner. reached there slightly too early, so we went to walk around. he got me loadsssss of chocs and sweets! there was this interesting small stall in the mall called uncle's tidbits or sth, and the whole shop structure is like mini toons' sweets section, those pick and choose then weigh type. damn cool lah. the whole shop was stocked with sweets. lol. after that we went to the library too.
had pastamania for dinner. he ordered some weird eel pasta that tasted horrible. it's some new promotion, so people, dont try that.
after that we went to rent movies and went to his place to watch. we watched Ratatouille. his condo was much nicer than mine lahhh. it was so less crowded and much quieter. and the theme was nice, there were alot of nice wooden walkways leading to random places. and at night the pool lights light up. which might not sound like a big deal to others but is a huge deal to me, cuz MY pool lights dont--, no, make that i dont have pool lights here. which means walking back home after 10pm becomes a scary ordeal, cuz the place is so damn darkkkk.
slept almost immediately after i reached home. yawns.
ponned work today, oops. but nicole queenie and jacq all didnt go, and i didnt wanna have lunch alone or sth. =( plus i feel a little sick, sore throat and blocked nose. sighs.
maybe meeting jacq and jenn for movie later.
pooft.
UPDATE: did i mention how much i love my ah mah? LOL. she's one cute and sweet lady. i called her just now and she told me "gong xi ni hor... ni chen ji kao de hao ah?? ke yi jing da xue? hao hao... gong xi ah!" LOL. thanks ah mah. maybe it was because you were the one who painstakingly took care of me when i was young and because of the fabulous meals you'd cooked for me all my life that got me this smart. hahaha. *sings* AAAABBB!
